Senior Marine Engineer (Propulsion)

Overview

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and documentation design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment, to include, but not limited to : power supply and propulsion systems.
• Research and develop ship propulsion systems, to include, but not limited to : diesels, gas turbines, diesel-electric systems, propellers, rudders, thrusters, gears, shafts, bearings, seals, noise, vibration, and interfaces with dynamic positioning systems, and apply to applicable design and requirements.
• Develop system documentation and ship specifications.
• Design, develop and evaluate operation of marine vessels, shipboard propulsion machinery.
• Review and develop technical data packages.
• Provide oversight on development of machinery arrangements.
• Conduct and oversee trade studies.
• Provide knowledge of ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules and regulations.

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $91,600.00 / Yr. - USD $153,000.00 / Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
