As the Courtroom Clerk, you'll be responsible for recording and memorializing court proceedings by attending court sessions, communicating oaths with witnesses and juries, and maintaining exhibits offered in a courtroom as evidence. You will be right in the center of the courtroom action, working very closely with the judge and courtroom assistant. The functions performed by this position ensure there is an objective record of events to facilitate the judicial process and expedite resolution pursuant to A.R.S. SS12-283.

Three years of clerical, legal office, or court-related experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDPost-secondary education may substitute for two years of the experience requirement on a year-for-year basisJob Contributions :
Attend all sessions of court, record court proceedings in a note-taking manner, and transcribe notes into standard minute entry format within established timeframesDetermine the correct parties / agencies entitled to receive copies of minute entriesRecord and secure exhibits presented for court proceedingsCommunicate oaths, affirmations, and contents of court documents to court participantsReceive, process, and / or issue court documents, including protective orders, jail releases, warrants, and confidential ordersProofreads and edits work with a high degree of accuracy and detailMaintain a list of cases under advisement for quarterly submission to the Supreme CourtParticipate in large group training or one-on-one mentoringWorking Conditions :
Work is primarily performed in an office setting that consists of a high-volume and fast-paced environment with long periods of sitting while completing computer activitiesConsistent Monday-Friday 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m. schedules; teleworking based on business needs and supervisor approvalAbility to frequently ascend and descend 1-3 steps to the work area, with or without accommodationAbility to travel to and from job-related locations during a scheduled workday, subject to County policies regarding the use of County vehicles and / or private vehicles use on County businessAbility to lift, carry, push, push, or pull boxes and other items of up to 20 poundsSelected candidates must successfully complete and pass a criminal background checkSelection Procedure :
