JOB TITLE : Future Camp Paivika 2026 Positions Considerations Camp Paivika Summer Staff (Cabin Counselor Lifeguard Food Service Worker Cook Housekeeping & Maintenance)

REPORTS TO : Camp Director

SCHEDULE : Variable shifts based on role; includes weekdays weekends and overnights as needed during summer sessions

LOCATION : Camp Paivika Crestline CA (Located in the San Bernardino Mountains)

STATUS : Full-Time Part-Time Seasonal Non-Exempt

DRIVER POSITION : Yes (Some positions may require driving; see driving policy below)

RATES : Compensation may vary depending on positions Onsite lodging and meals provided during sessions

Camp Paivika one of the first fully accessible camps in the U.S. continues this mission by providing life-changing summer experiences for children teens and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.

ABOUT THE ROLE :

We are accepting future interest applications for individuals passionate about inclusion fun and outdoor adventure. This application will be used to build a candidate pool for Summer 2026 at Camp Paivika. Positions available may include :

• Camp Cabin Counselor
• Camp Lifeguard
• Camp Food Service Worker
• Camp Cook
• Camp Housekeeping and Maintenance
• Camp Nurse Registered Nurse

Camp Paivika staff work collaboratively to ensure campers have a safe engaging and empowering summer camp experience.

Mandated Reporting Requirements : The person holding this position is considered a mandated reporter under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and is required to comply with the requirements set forth in CSU Executive Order 1083 Revised July 21 2017 as a condition of employment.

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements : Effective August 9 2021 the State Health Officer has mandated that all workers paid or unpaid in homeless services organizations must provide proof of vaccination. If eligible for a booster shot proof of booster is also required. If not fully vaccinated weekly COVID-19 testing is necessary depending on the program. Driver Positions :
