The Senior Financial Accountant-GL is responsible for the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external purposes. S / he is also responsible for year-end external audit support, account analysis, and internal support. The Senior Accountant-GL manages and prioritizes these responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintains and balances general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, and reconciling in addition to resolving discrepancies
• Advises all departments regarding accounting procedural changes to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Prepares and maintains standard adjusting and eliminating journal entries with related support and inputs entries into Vista
• Communicates effectively with impacted departments to advise of necessary account corrections
• Works with Controller in the fulfillment of preliminary year-end information requests from external auditors
• Prepares and provides schedules and other required documents for information as necessary
• Provides support to Payroll and Tax Departments
• Ensures a Safe Work Environment
• Participates in Training / Certifications
