Job description

glo is seeking a motivated, kind, & hard working General Manager

Position Summary :

Run day to day operations, uphold service standards, and be a leader for our service team.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Assist owners in employee development
  • Prioritize the well being of staff and ensure an open line of communication between employees & management is maintained
  • Working knowledge of POS system and ability to train others on using it correctly
  • Maintain service standards and systems
  • Write schedules
  • Assist with bar orders as needed
  • Ensure all training materials are up to date and accessible by staff
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by communicating with every table, establishing relationships and creating regulars
  • Communicate any concerns about staff or poor performance with owners
  • Ensure employees are on time, in uniform, and ready to work
  • Keep track of cash, count daily & log.
  • Enter sales & complete log book daily
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant inside and out, delegate cleaning responsibilities as needed
  • Ensure all open / closing / cleaning check lists are in place and utilized
  • All other responsibilities as dictated by the business or assigned by Management

    Requirements :

  • 2-3 years management experience
  • Ability to work 40-45 hours a week
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, and do simple math
  • Open schedule is preferred, evenings & weekends a must.
  • Some culinary & beverage knowledge, or a willingness to learn
  • Current TIPS and Servsafe certification (if not current, glo will cover the cost of both)
