Job Title : Occupational Therapist Profession : Occupational Therapy Specialty : Occupational Therapy Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Monday - Friday Hours per Shift : 8 hours (8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM) Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Active state license required Certifications : BLS required; additional certifications such as Lymphedema certification are a plus Must-Have : - Diverse clinical background - Ability to work in inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings - Pediatric experience preferred, but not required - Experience covering various patient demographics, including pediatrics and geriatrics Description : This position involves 50% inpatient acute care and 50% outpatient services. Clinicians will cover various areas, including inpatient, outpatient, and home care. A minimum of 6 to 10 patients may be treated daily, depending on the area of coverage. Common diagnoses include pediatric and geriatric patients, orthopedic and neurological conditions, fall risk, and general weakness. Experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred. Clinicians will collaborate with certified occupational therapy assistants for treatments when available. The dress code is black, navy, or royal blue scrubs or business casual attire. Weekend and holiday work is not required. The first week involves orientation, observation, and gradually increasing treatment responsibilities. A full schedule will begin in the second week. Candidates with specialization in upper extremity therapy or lymphedema will still be expected to provide a range of occupational therapy treatments.
