Contract Brand Manager Of Innovation
Frida is seeking a Contract Brand Manager of Innovation to join our Brand Management team and drive our innovation agenda forward. Reporting into the Sr. Director of Innovation, the Innovation Brand Manager will be responsible for analyzing category, consumer, competitive and brand trends that inform innovation opportunities and growth pipeline. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong communicator, collaborative, and an expert in analyzing varying types of data to uncover actionable business insights that inform strategy. The Brand Manager of Innovation will work with Business Intelligence and other cross-functionals to identify new Frida opportunities, analyze consumer insights data, define product criteria and pricing, build project briefs, and set up R&D teams for success in executing on opportunities while achieving financial goals. Responsibilities to include :
Core Responsibilities :
- Conduct new category + product data analysis and research to identify product opportunities for Frida that fit brand, consumer, and business needs
- Leverage a varying set of data from consumer data, brand studies, sentiment analysis, reviews, and business performance data to draft narratives and concepts behind new product ideas to inform product briefs and opportunities
- Support charter development, opportunity sizing and claims strategy working alongside cross-functional partners to drive innovation forward
- Throughout product development lifecycle, work closely with sourcing, supply chain, and product development to maintain financial targets while delivering on consumer promise
- Recommend optimal product positioning, claims and pricing for new product briefs reflecting market research, competitive intelligence, and performance analytics for product launch across retail channels
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop best in class category growth stories for Line Review content and sell-in
- Collaborate cross-functionally to routinely evaluate the performance of products in market to refine expansion plans, SKU strategy, and maximize market penetration
- Conduct deep dive analysis into distribution and portfolio expansion opportunities in retail
- Develop competitive intelligence routine reports to inform leadership of industry trends, and competitive insights
- Other projects as assigned
Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field5+ years of related experience in analytics or strategy, CPG, Consulting, Business Intelligence, or Finance experience idealExcellent communicator and collaboration partnerStrong project management experience and demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple cross-functional projects concurrently to completion in a timely mannerDemonstrated analytical chops, with the ability to design and interpret financial models to facilitate opportunity evaluation and priority settingProfessional presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members throughout the company including senior leadershipEnergetic, positive team player attitude ready for the demands of a high energy, fast-paced company environment with a no-task-too-small work ethicQuick learner who is comfortable working with large data sets to solve unique and complex problemsAbility to structure data analysis, driving analytics insights and analytical solutions to determine the best analytical solutionAbility to translate business problems into analytical solutions by knowing appropriate modelsSuperior Microsoft Excel, data analysis, and visualization skills.
