As a Security Officer in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail environment, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for customers and staff. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas using a vehicle. You will deliver exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming environment guided by our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting a positive environment for employees and customers at the location.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any security-related concerns.

Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and / or client contacts.

Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas within the retail location.

Assist with crowd management and help to maintain order during busy periods or special events at the location.

Document all incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Possess a valid guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
