About The Position

Job Title : Staff Nurse Specialty Care

Profession : Nursing

Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab

Duration : 12 months

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 or 10

Experience : Minimum of 6 months to 3 years of Nursing (RN) experience

License : Current Registered Nurse License

Certifications : BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, Apex (Stroke education / NIHSS)

Description :

The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities.

This includes the prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering.

The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development.

The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care.

They manage a group of patients and may serve as a primary nurse or accountable nurse.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families in health promotion and disease management.

The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications.

They share responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization.

The RN complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and policies.

Participation in nursing governance and improvement initiatives is expected.

The RN actively engages in professional development and continuing education.

They integrate nursing research and current evidence into practice.

The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.

They may perform duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned.

Participation in the Clinical Ladder Program is encouraged as knowledge develops.

The RN may perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule may include on-call duties and holiday responsibilities.
