Title : Regional Sales Manager - Eastern OntarioJob Summary : The Regional Sales Manager owns all sales activities within the defined region of responsibility and is the key to developing, strengthening and maintaining customer relationships. This includes holding face-to- face customer interactions, facilitating lunch and learns, resolving customer service issues, following-up on quotation activities, as well as using understanding of the customer applications and requirements. Reporting to the President & CEO, the Regional Sales Manager is responsible for selling the full range of products to achieve their targets in their respective regions of responsibility as well as carrying out their respective business plans and following corporate strategy. In this role, the Regional Sales Manager is also required to interact and support the sales channel that operates within the defined region and to liaise with and support the internal members, always in the pursuit of customer service excellence.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESProvide Customer Service Excellence : Communicate directly and pro-actively with customers and partnersSales Role : Cold call, prospect and qualify companies within the defined regionTrack all customer communication in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programConduct Lunch and Learns, as requiredAttend customer visits scheduled by the sales channel, as requiredFollow-up on all quotations over $10,000CAD directly or in collaboration with sales channelAttend webinars, meetings and training, as requiredComplete expense claims on a monthly basisCollaborate with sales channel partners to enhance regional coveragePlan territory coverage in the most time efficient manner possibleProvide technical support with documentation, drawings, customer training, site visits and demonstrationsOther Duties : Comply with OHSA, company policies and procedures, and safety practices to ensure the safety of every worker performing on duty to SAMSONAdhere to SAMSON's Quality standardsParticipate in all company required trainingOther duties as assigned by managementQUALIFICATIONSPrior experience in Industrial or Process Automation sales (2+ years)Prior experience with cold calling and prospecting (2+ years)Managing sales cycles between 6 weeks and 2 yearsPrevious experience managing a defined regionPrevious experience utilizing a CRM with all customer interactionsAn energetic self-starter with the desire to achieve challenging objectives and think outside of the boxAdvanced oral and written communication in English (French is an asset) with strong report writing skillsStrong Customer Service orientation and skillsProblem-solving skills and adaptability to deal with conflicts, setbacks and change Detail-oriented person with analytical ability and listening skills and an innovative problem-solverStrong presentation skillsStrong MS Office knowledge and computer skillsAbility to work in a team environmentStrong organizational skills to deal with occasional heavy workloads and multi-taskingRequired Education : Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of experience and post-secondary educationDescription of the Work Environment : Home Office, Office, and visits to customer operations or production facilities Amount of Travel : 30-50% day trips away from the office but within Canada, 20-30% overnight trips within Canada Work Schedule : 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm, but hours will vary according to the requirements of sales activities Direct Reports : N / AABOUT SAMSONEstablished in 1907, SAMSON AG has become a market leader in control valves for industrial process automation.
