Pain Management Physician

Mount Nittany Health is seeking BC / BE  Pain Management Physician ! Join an employed group consisting of 11 physicians and 20+ CRNAs that provide coverage at Mount Nittany Medical Center, a 260-bed acute care facility in State College, PA.  State College offers all of the luxuries of a college townincluding short commutes, NCAA Sports, Arts, high quality schools and outdoor recreation abounds with beautiful hiking and biking trails. Community based medicine is a plus! The physician will be provided a robust recruitment package.

The Position : Pain Management

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Provide evidence-informed medical and / or interventional pain management to patients based on appropriate clinical indication and meet high standards of care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and laboratory studies, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Utilize fluoroscopy or ultrasound to perform most interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in collaborative care with other providers and support the services available for multidisciplinary interventional pain management.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities to stay abreast of advancements in pain management techniques and best practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and practice protocolsn in a timely and professional manner.
• Other duties based on need, including teaching, research, educational presentations, expert opinion report preparation, and administrative tasks.
