Job Title : RN Cath Lab Profession : RN Specialty : Cath Lab Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 05 : 30 PM Hours per Shift : 10 hours Experience : Minimum years of experience required License : Current RN license Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have : - BLS and ACLS certified Description : 4-10 hour shifts with on-call shifts lasting 10-12 hours, including weekends. Perform cardiac, electrophysiology, and vascular diagnostic and interventional procedures on inpatients, outpatients, and emergency department patients following physician orders. Competent to perform roles of circulator, scrub technologist, and hemodynamic monitor. Ensure safe administration of medications and contrast within the scope of licensure, following all standards, policies, and procedures. Complete all necessary documentation and image distribution by following established protocols and procedures to maintain the integrity of the patient medical record, both written and electronic. Comply with all policies, procedures, and standards in the performance of invasive procedures, including patient consent, universal protocols, sterile technique, procedure performance, specimen handling, and post-procedure care. Demonstrate consistent knowledge of information systems, procedures, and protocols in order to accurately and efficiently process patients within the system.
