Job Requirements

Education Requirements : Valid Indiana RN license or license eligible
Certifications Requirements : AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
Experience Requirements : Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU, cardiac, or stepdown units
Other Requirements : Strong charting skills with EPIC, CUPID experience preferred; ability to pass tele interpretation and 12-lead EKG tests; must be able to manage arterial lines, cardiac drips, and post-procedure recoveries; effective communication skills, adaptability to floating, and a team-oriented mindset

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive ICU and cardiac stepdown nursing care to post-procedural and recovery patients, including post-Cath, EP procedures, PACU, and cardiac surgery admissions.

Manage and titrate cardiac medications, including heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, and nitroglycerin, ensuring patient stability and safety.

Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and telemonitoring to assess patient cardiac status accurately.

Assist with invasive procedures such as radial artery sheath removals, TR band management, and arterial line management.

Float seamlessly between units as needed, providing excellent patient care and supporting team operations in cardiac, stepdown, and tele units.
