Job description

Responsiblities :

  • Insurance verification specialist will call insurance carriers to verify benefits, quote benefits for various types of mental health services, and complete pre-authorizations for services after clinician input.
  • Place proper co-pay, co-insurance amount in EHR, assist with collections, and other billing duties as assigned by the chief biller.
  • These services will assist the billing department to ensure proper payments are received.
  • Medical billing and coding.
  • Posting charges.
  • Making statements.
  • Collections.

Requirements :

  • Experience with billing, collections, and insurance verification is required (at least one year preferred).
