JOB SUMMARY :

Responsible for services related to dietary, transportation, materials management and guest relations. Performs a wide variety of patient care and environmental functions on the patient care unit Participates in team activities and quality improvement programs. He / she ensures that quality services are provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He / she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and practice; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

Education : High School Graduate

Licensure / Registration / Certification : BLS credentialing

Work Experience : Recent experience as a nurse aide, phlebotomist, or EKG technician preferred

Working Conditions :

Manual : significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational : Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort : Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment : Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
