What You'll Do
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will :
🔧 Review assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare and plan your builds.
📐 Read and interpret blueprints and sketches for material prep and assembly operations.
🛠 Set up simple fixtures, stops, and assembly aids to streamline your workflow.
🔩 Assemble components and subassemblies by verifying proper fit, fastening parts, and ensuring accuracy.
🕵 Perform in-process inspections and verify specifications by measuring and evaluating parts.
🧩 Resolve assembly challenges, adjusting as needed and notifying supervisors for additional support.
Maintain equipment functionality through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
🧹 Keep your workspace clean and safe following 6S standards.
Use materials and resources efficiently to maximize productivity.
📊 Assist with proof load and other testing operations when required.
🤝 Collaborate with Quality Assurance on inspection results and criteria.
💡 Provide cycle-time feedback and improvement suggestions to boost efficiency and accuracy.
📘 Follow all customer and industry quality requirements, including AS9100.
Document your work using production and quality forms.
🤜🤛 Support your team and contribute to shared goals across the department.
You'll Stand Out If You Have :
Aerospace industry experience - a huge bonus!
🛡 Experience with military ground support equipment - extremely helpful and highly valued.
