About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BCLS required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred

Must-Have : Telemetry experience

Interpretation of dysrhythmias

Management of dysrhythmias

Description :

RTO after booking is not permitted and cannot be addressed onsite.

Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could potentially result in a cancellation.

Unit accepts first-time travelers.

Locals are also accepted with a rate difference.

Unit ratios are 1 : 5-6.

Contracts for 16-17 weeks are available.

36 or 48 hours may be offered.

If 48 hours are worked, no overtime will be billed until after 48 hours.

Candidates may float within the hospital.

Weekend shifts are required every other weekend.

Patients include those with renal and limb preservation needs, ESRD, ARF, CHF, and diabetic foot ulcers.

The unit has a focus on telemetry capability.

Patients receiving hemodialysis will be treated in a separate unit.

Peritoneal dialysis patients will receive treatments on the unit by the dialysis team.

The interdisciplinary team works daily to ensure optimal care for all patients.

Unit systems include electronic medical record systems.

Self-scheduling is available per unit needs.

Scrubs are not provided; navy or white colors are expected.

Interview availability must be provided for the next 72 hours during candidate submission.

Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.

The flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
