What you will do :

Reads work orders or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Moves items into and out of storage, kitting area, and / or production areas. Follows all safety rules and instructions, maintains 5S standards of work area and performs other functions on and off production line as required. Maintains necessary information and records for inventory locations on the computer and ensures appropriate paperflow with the materials / goods throughout the process. Performs cycle counting functions. Selects containers for parts or products. Packs and seals parts, coils, or sections into or onto fabricated containers or skids. Loads materials into / onto trucks and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Completes shipping or receiving reports and records. Operates picking systems, barcode scanners, PIT, power material-handling equipment, and trucks to move material and finished products. Takes part in the training process for all new team members. Provides input regarding the performance of new team members. Participates with other team members on safety, process and quality improvement teams. Works with team members, supervisors and support areas to coordinate workflow to meet production requirements. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

Ability to operate hand tools Ability to read and understand written English

Preferred Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED Previous manufacturing experience
