Position Overview
The Treasury Specialist supports the daily treasury operations by managing banking accounts, orchestrating funding activities, and monitoring and reconciling account transactions. This role plays a key part in managing liquidity, ensuring compliance, and enhancing treasury process efficiencies—leveraging Third-Party Administrator partners and platforms, payments partners, and banking partners to automate tasks, increase efficiencies, and ensure accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Bank Accounts & Funding
- Manage setup, maintenance, and reconciliation of domestic and claims payment accounts
- Oversee processing of electronic and check payments, including the approval process for the release of claims payments, stop loss funding, and oversight of adequate funding to ensure timely operations
- Transaction Monitoring & Control
- Oversee daily cash positions, reconcile account balances, and identify / investigate discrepancies
- Maintain control over electronic cash receipts and disbursements
- Participate in bank fee tracking and analysis to optimize costs
- Cash Forecasting & Liquidity
- Support daily and monthly cash forecasting and liquidity planning
- Collaborate with finance teams and business units to reconcile forecast variances
- Banking Relationship Management
- Interface with bank(s) and payment partner for account maintenance, to resolve discrepancies, and to integrate systems
- Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify and recommend process improvements
- Enhance controls over treasury functions
- Implement and maintain internal controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Technical & Reporting
- Develop and maintain scripts / macros to automate reconciliation, reporting, and transaction processes
- Prepare reports on funding activity, cash balances, bank reconciliations, and fee analysis

Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related fieldExperience :2+ years in treasury, corporate finance, or banking operationsExperience working in a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) or third-party financial administrator setting is preferredTechnical Skills :Proficient in Excel, with strong skills in claims system administrationTreasury Management Systems or cash forecasting tools a plusCore Competencies :Strong analytical skills and attention-to-detailEffective communication and collaboration with internal teams and external vendor partnersAbility to work effectively in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentsBenefits
