The person in this position is responsible for maintaining service operations by inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, using state of the art equipment.
Responsibilities
Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.Inspecting vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade.Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance jobKeep logs on work and issuesMaintain equipment and tools in good conditionCommunicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecuting repairs under warranty to manufacturer specificationsPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Other technical duties assigned or needed.Requirements
Experience solving problems on vehicles as auto mechanic / auto technicianExcellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods for vehicles.Ability to handle various tools (e.g.pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g.
lift)
