Accounting Associate
The Accounting Associate will play a key role in supporting the finance team by handling a variety of accounting tasks, including tax compliance assistance, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Assist with preparing, reviewing, and filing sales and use tax returns.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable state and local tax regulations.
- Accurately and promptly prepare and post journal entries.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support implementation and ongoing compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.
- Gather and report data for lease-related transactions.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
Essential Skills :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (or equivalent experience)13 years of accounting experience preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. (ERP experience is a plus)Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.Solid understanding of general ledger accounting, including debits and credits.Experienced with journal entries and knowledgeable in sales and use tax.Work Environment :

Pay and Benefits :
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
