Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,843 per week in Roanoke, VA

License : Active license required Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : Epic experience required Description : The ICU is a 12-bed intensive care unit. Critical care nurses practice in a setting where patients require complex ongoing assessment, multiple therapies, and interventions. This unit serves several primary patient populations. Nurses rely upon a specialized body of knowledge, skills, and experience to provide care to patients after various surgeries or strokes. The standard nurse-to-patient ratio is 2 : 1. Some of the complex therapies and treatments performed include cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy, and mechanical ventilation support. Nurses also manage pacemakers and perform intracranial pressure monitoring. Candidates must be available to work holidays as specified. Compliance documentation is required before the start date. Travelers must be informed about local eligibility rules. Return travelers must have been separated for a minimum of one year before reapplying.
