Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-driven Operational Finance professional to support cost efficiency and day-to-day decision-making within our fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on building, updating, and optimizing standard manufacturing costs while partnering closely with plant operations. The ideal candidate brings strong cost modeling skills, deep variance analysis experience, and the ability to translate financial insights into operational improvements. You will also support monthly and quarterly financial cycles, including financial modeling and the creation of executive-ready presentations.

Key Responsibilities :
Operational Variance & Cost Analysis
- Conduct detailed variance analysis on material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption against established standards.
- Identify root causes of production cost overruns (scrap, downtime, rework, etc.) and collaborate with operations to implement corrective actions.
- Support daily production reviews by providing real-time cost impacts related to scheduling, shift changes, and resource planning.
Operational Finance Business Partnering
Act as the primary financial partner to manufacturing teams, providing proactive insight during production meetings and shift handovers.Analyze operational KPIs, including cost per unit, throughput rates, and OEE and recommend strategies to optimize working capital and improve operational efficiency.Support make-or-buy decisions, outsourcing evaluations, and capacity planning through cost simulations and modeling.Standard Costing Development & Maintenance
Build and maintain standard manufacturing costs, including detailed breakdowns of direct materials, labor standards, machine utilization, and overhead rates using engineering data and production routings.Perform annual and ad-hoc cost updates driven by material changes, process improvements, inflation, and supplier negotiations.Ensure cost accuracy across ERP systems (e.g., PLEX, SAP, Oracle) and collaborate with engineering and procurement to incorporate BOM revisions and design changes.Inventory Management & Reconciliation
Oversee standard cost-based inventory valuation, including cycle counts, obsolescence reviews, and reconciliation to the general ledger.Lead initiatives to reduce excess and obsolete inventory through accurate costing, forecasting, and operational alignment.Budgeting, Forecasting & Capital Projects
Lead plant-level budgeting and forecasting efforts, integrating updated standard costs into rolling financial forecasts.Evaluate capital investment proposals (equipment, automation, process upgrades) by modeling ROI, payback periods, and projected savings.Monitor and report post-implementation performance versus budgeted expectations.Monthly & Quarterly Financial Support
Support monthly and quarterly close activities.Prepare and enhance financial models for scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and what-if simulations tied to production volumes and cost changes.Develop executive-level presentation decks for management and board reviews, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.5+ years of experience in operational finance within a manufacturing environment .Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining standard manufacturing costs, including BOM / routing-based cost modeling and annual cost rollovers.Advanced Excel proficiency (scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, complex formulas).Hands-on experience with cost accounting modules in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or Plex.Strong analytical skills with the ability to connect operational performance to financial outcomes.Effective communicator with proven success supporting cross-functional teams.Experience in high-volume or automotive manufacturing preferred.About Integrated Talent Strategies (ITS)
