Job descriptionMinimum 5 years’ experience in thin film design (not just coatings or battery film / process backgrounds); 10+ yrs a plus Hands‑on experience with thin film design software : Filmstar, Optilayer, TF Calc, McLeod (older, but valued) Preferred industry backgrounds : defense, aerospace, medical devices Experience with PVD and complex, multilayer substrates (must‑have); CVD is a plus Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k)

Base pay range
$160,000.00 / yr - $170,000.00 / yr

Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle design of custom optical sensor products to customer specifications, leveraging advanced thin film technologies
- Work on a cross-functional hands‑on engineering team integrated with on‑site manufacturing
- Collaborate within a cleanroom‑like, high‑tech lab / manufacturing setting
- Utilize industry‑standard thin film design and modeling software
