Job description

DON Permanent Position in Las Vegas

Pay up to $156,000 annually

JOB SUMMARY :

The Director of Nursing will oversee the nursingdepartment, ensuring high-quality patient care, compliance with regulations,and effective management of nursing staff. This role is critical duringtransitional periods and requires strong leadership, communication, andclinical expertise.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate professional development for nursing personnel
  • Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care needs
  • Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and agency policies
  • Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing policies and procedures
  • Stay current with best practices in nursing and healthcare to ensure high standards of care
  • Assist in budget preparation and management for the nursing department
  • Monitor expenditures and implement cost-effective practices
  • Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments
  • Facilitate regular meetings to address issues, share updates, and promote teamwork
  • Other Duties as Assigned

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Registered Nurse licensure required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
  • Currentand valid nursing license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in managing nursing staff and operations
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technologies
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and nursing excellence
