Job Description : RN Emergency Room

Location : Salem, VA

Shift : Full-time

Nights, Days, Mixed, Evenings (Rotating Weekends)

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment, from minor injuries to critically ill patients. Responsibilities :

Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages in the Emergency Department

Manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritizing based on acuity levels

Maintain composure and professionalism, especially under pressure

Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate follow-up care and referrals

Document effectively, succinctly, and timely according to organizational policy

Coordinate with physicians and other hospital departments, prioritizing patient safety and satisfaction

Requirements :

Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program (required)

BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

Current RN licensure in the state of Virginia or multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification (required)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting, preferably in the Emergency Room; Med Surg candidates will be considered for cross-training ONLY FOR NIGHTS SHIFT

Additional Information :

Compensation : Salary ranges from $32.11 (0-9 yrs) to $45.87 (20+ yrs) based on years of experience

Differentials : Night Shift - $3.00; Weekend Days - $3.00; Weekend Nights - $7.00

Pay Range : $32.11 - $45.87 per hour
