About Us :

Storacha is a newly minted spin-out from Protocol Labs Venture Studio. Our team comprises members from several high-profile projects at Protocol Labs, coming together to build a new, better web3-native hot storage network on top of Filecoin. Our team leverages technologies and insights from building web3.storage and Filecoin Saturn, which many of our leaders were a part of. We aim to establish a "fast data" layer for the Filecoin ecosystem, providing crucial infrastructure for the decentralized web. Our protocols and systems focus on maximizing utility, resilience, and network value for all participants.

We build openly, as part of the larger movements around Filecoin and the broader web3 ecosystem. We do not start from scratch, as our system is production-ready and proven at scale, having served over 200k customers with PBs of data.

Role Overview :

We are seeking a co-founder and business leader who is deeply passionate about decentralized systems, the web3 ecosystem, and building groundbreaking products from the ground up. As a co-founder, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our company, leading our team, driving business development, and spearheading our fundraising efforts. You will be instrumental in positioning Storacha as a breakthrough in the realm of decentralized hot storage and retrieval.

Key Responsibilities :

• Business Development & Growth : Spearhead the business development effort, driving significant customer adoption and gathering valuable feedback. Work closely with the external marketing team to iterate on our product, ensuring market fit and accelerating company growth.
• Fundraising : Lead the fundraising efforts, securing a substantial Series A funding round. Cultivate relationships with venture capitalists, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders. Present the companys vision and progress effectively to attract and secure investment.
• Company Building : Lead and grow our team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Drive fundraising efforts, present on behalf of the business, and cultivate relationships with investors and stakeholders.
• Launch An L2 Blockchain Network : align strategy across business, legal, marketing, technical domains. Build key partnerships with token exchanges and L1 networks. Manage roadmap and meet key milestones to align launch timing with market conditions.
• Product Development : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute on the product strategy and ensure it aligns with our business goals and market needs.
