Job Description :
Welding, Accessories and Cutting, a division of Miller Electric, is seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor to join our team and drive actions that achieve results in key areas of the business including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost savings. As a Production Supervisor, you will be on the front lines mentoring our teams and solving problems that matter. How you will make an impact :
Leadership
Coach and develop work teams to have positive and proactive attitudes, personal accountability.
Mentor team members to resolve conflict in a fair, consistent, and empowered manner within a team environment.
Drive a customer experience mindset within all areas of the division.
Improve order fulfillment process to respond to changing customer needs and demands through facilitating area layouts, executing action plans, and selecting equipment to improve warehouse processes.
Analyze problems and sources of conflict, explores, and selects solutions, implements an action plan, and resolves issues.
Assess & evaluate team members' performance and goals regularly while supporting goal achievement.
Mentor, develop, and support Team Leaders.
Safety
Lead safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost saving initiatives through employee involvement and ITW toolbox principles.
Work closely with safety committee and team members to constantly improve safety culture and proactively identification and correction of safety hazards.
Collaboration
Participate and lead committees / teams as needed.
Build & maintain a network of inter-company peers and subject matter experts for consultation on best practices that provide superior cost, quality, and delivery of our products to our customers.
Provide information and collaborate with team to effectively manage resource planning.
Build employee relationships through daily, open, and direct communication while encouraging creativity and innovation.
Demonstrate and encourage effective communication to personnel at all levels within the organization.
Deep understanding of production system and fulfillment process.
Work closely with support staff and Human Resources.
Coordinate production team during emergency repairs and non-routine maintenance to ensure continuous production flow.
