The unit includes a secure locked psychiatric area, procedure rooms, and hallway beds. Patient ratios are 4 : 1 with flexibility during acute surges. The patient population comprises individuals with multiple comorbidities including complicated heart conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke. Required skills include U / S IV skills, operation of various medical devices, and proficiency in EMRs. Candidates must display adaptability and a strong desire to assist and care for patients.
