Billing Specialist

Job Title : Billing Specialist

Reports to : Billing Manager

This is a Float position and travel is required.

General Summary of Duties : Certified Professional Coder preferred, needed for a large orthopedic practice in Providence, RI and Mansfield, MA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Researches all information needed to complete billing process including posting payments into practice management system
• Follow up on claims, including tracking denials, resolving underpayments in a timely manner, managing refunds, and filing appeals
• Assist with answering billing calls
• Additional duties as assigned by the Manager to meet department needs
