Lead Construction Estimator

This role will drive the estimating function for capital construction projects across diverse industrial sectors. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines to deliver accurate and reliable cost estimates. Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead the development of cost estimates for large-scale capital construction projects, ensuring precision, timeliness, and alignment with project objectives.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing estimating team, instilling a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with engineering, architects, construction trades, and OEMs to ensure comprehensive, constructible, and cost-effective estimates.
• Apply a range of estimating techniques (bottom-up, analogous, factored, parametric, and historical data) to deliver reliable results when full project details are unavailable.
• Leverage industry-standard databases and indices (e.g., RS Means, ENR, BLS) as well as construction estimating software to support forecasting and pricing.
• Collaborate closely with project controls to monitor cost forecasts, provide accurate reporting, and ensure budget alignment.
• Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance estimating efficiency and organizational capability.
• Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, providing leadership and solutions even when information is limited.
• Develop both short- and long-term strategies to build organizational competency in capital expenditure estimating.
