The plant was built in 1993 with an addition in 1995, manufactures paper cups and cartons, and has approximately 350 employees.

Responsibilities

The Production Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the printing, cutting, and forming departments to ensure production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and cost standards. This role requires technical expertise in printing and carton forming processes, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include :

• Providing leadership and direction to assigned department(s), product line(s) or profit center(s) and teams to meet production goals, ensure a safe work environment, and meet customer specifications.
• Supervising 50-200 employees including both salaried and hourly.
• Scheduling, tracking, & monitoring production and costs to ensure unit meets established goals while maintaining a safe work environment and quality standards.
• Maintaining an effective workforce through hiring, training, coaching and disciplinary actions.
• Implementing and demonstrating the best practices and consistent policies.
• Completing and maintaining timely and accurate reports on critical production outcomes such as efficiency, downtime, cost, etc.
• Providing feedback up and down the organization.
• Developing and implementing safety awareness programs, communicating safety issues, correcting safety related problems, and leading investigations into safety related issues.
• Participating in designing and implementing continuous improvement processes.
• Leading the operations of Flexotecnia Press with Rotary Die Cutting, Comco Press with Rotary Die Cutting, K&B Press, Roll Fed Cutters, and PMC Blankers.
• Scheduling, monitoring, and tracking production, inventory, and costs to ensure performance targets are met.
• Ensuring consistent operation of carton forming machines at or above standard levels, with a focus on waste reduction, efficiency, and equipment utilization.

Qualifications

BA / BS degree preferred in Industrial Management, Engineering or Business.

5+ years of manufacturing experience including 2 years of supervisory experience.

Must demonstrate knowledge of statistical methods and process improvement techniques.

Must demonstrate proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite.

Effective team building and demonstrated leadership skills.

Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels in the organization.
