Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Tacoma, Washington.

Position Summary

Role : Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital

Contract Length : 16 weeks

Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Start Date : January or February start (covering a leave of absence)

Department Overview

Unit : Interventional Radiology

  • Suites : 2 dedicated IR suites + 1 CT room for overflow / interventional cases
  • Radiology Team : 1 IR physician and 1 PA on site during the day
  • PACS / Charting : Epic EMR (EpicCare Inpatient)
  • Scrubs : Provided by hospital

    • Workload & Procedures

  • Performs interventional and neurointerventional procedures
  • Typical cases : vascular interventions, embolizations, drain placements, neuro procedures, etc.
  • Body IR experience required ; Neuro experience preferred
  • Average : 8–10 cases per day
  • Must be able to start IVs and handle full procedural setup

    • Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology
  • Licensure : Active ARRT

    • Certifications : BLS (AHA)

  • ACLS
  • COVID vaccination required

    • Scheduling & Call

  • Primary Shift : 4x10s, Monday–Friday
  • Call : 8–10 call shifts per month

    • 30-minute response time required

  • On-call only for weekends and holidays

    • Additional Details

  • Floating : None required
  • Cancellation Policy : Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract
  • Dress Code : Hospital-provided scrubs
