Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Newton, New Jersey 07860 (Sussex County)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab)

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : April 4, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2,910 - $3,120

Shift : 4 day / 9.5 hour shift - 7AM-5PM

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

STEMI On-Call : Yes (STEMI response required)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification – Required

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience required

At least 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience preferred

Cath Lab RN Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric through geriatric populations in the Cath Lab

Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in direct patient care, cardiac procedures, and emergency response

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and progress

Foster a professional, courteous, and patient-centered healthcare environment

Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals and Universal Protocols

Utilize safe patient transfer techniques and proper body mechanics

Individualize patient care based on procedure type and anesthesia requirements

Educate patients and families about cardiac procedures and post-operative care

Support Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) and evaluate physician orders for appropriateness

Participate in STEMI on-call rotation as part of the Cath Lab nursing team
