Unit Profile : Infusion RN Location : Bassett Medical Center

• Location : Medical Clinic, Bassett Medical Center Campus, Cooperstown, NY
• Patient Population : Adult / Geriatric
• Number of Chairs : 3 infusion chairs
• Average Daily Volume : Up to 6 patients per day (2 RNs)
• RN-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, depending on infusion type
• Types of Infusions : Biologics, autoimmune medications, iron, specialty infusions (GI, Rheumatology, Neurology)
• Chemotherapy : ONS Chemotherapy certification not required
• Blood Transfusions : Not part of the role
• PICC Lines : Rarely placed or cared for
• IV Starts / Port Access : Daily IV starts, infrequent port access
• Other Responsibilities : Lab draws, patient intake, pre-medication, patient education
• Required Experience : Outpatient infusion preferred but hospital infusion acceptable
• Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS
• Float Requirement : No floating to other clinics or departments
• Additional Notes : Small team environment with low daily patient volume. Ideal for RNs comfortable with IV starts and managing various specialty infusions in a quiet setting.
