Position Overview :

Join Valley View Hospital’s Family Birth Place team as an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN traveler. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care for mothers and babies, ensuring a positive birthing experience. You will deliver quality couplet care in a supportive environment, handling approximately 60 deliveries a month, with plans to increase to 80. Care is provided for babies 32 weeks and up. The team emphasizes teamwork and clinical excellence, fostering a fun, engaging workplace dedicated to patient-centered, compassionate care.

This position requires a traveler with limited RTO, ready to step into a dynamic, growing unit. You will work a 12-hour night shift with rotating weekends and a call schedule approximately once every 6 weeks.

What You Bring :

Proven experience in Labor & Delivery, preferably in a hospital setting handling 60+ deliveries per month.

Ability to provide high-quality, compassionate care tailored to maternal and neonatal needs.

Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary staff.

Flexibility to adapt to shift rotations and support unit growth.

Enthusiasm for patient education and emotional support during labor and postpartum phases.

Preferred Education & Experience :

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Minimum of 2 years of L&D nursing experience in a high-volume hospital.

Experience with postpartum, OR PACU, and neonate care is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited RTO.
