Description
Position Summary : Provide accounting support to the VP of Finance and Corporate Accounting Manager by assisting with administration of accounting tasks in the Corporate Office. This includes ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards and federal, state and local regulations.
Essential functions :
- Assist in the day to day operation of the Corporate Accounting office.
- Assist on-site Property Accountants with requests and / or information. Attempt to answer their questions and address concerns in a timely manner.
- Assist with the hotels month-end closing process including journal entry preparation, financial statement preparation, and p&l review materials.
- Assist in reconciling the hotels balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Handle corporate office accounts payables.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of the M3 accounting system.
- Assist in the preparation of sales, use, occupancy, and communication tax returns monthly for all hotels.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts for the hotels.
- Process monthly franchise invoices.
- Assist in preparation and processing of monthly payroll journals.
- Maintain capital expenditure schedules for the hotels.
- Assist VP of Accounting with specialized projects as requested.

Education / Experience Requirements :
