Key Job Details – New York Ultrasound Technologist

Location : Schenectady, NY 12308 (New York healthcare jobs)

Setting : Hospital Radiology Department

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 22 / 2025 – End : 3 / 21 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm, Friday–Sunday)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2140 - $2290

Float Requirement : Yes, to Bellevue Women’s Center for STAT exams (4pm–9pm as needed)

Documentation Systems : Fuji, Fuji Synapse PACS, Cerner, Power Scribe

Equipment : Philips Epiq 10, GE Logiq, Trophons for sterilization

Ultrasound Technologist Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (2 years preferred)

ARDMS certification required

BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required; may be obtained prior to start

Prior travel healthcare experience preferred, but not required

Ability to float between main campus and Bellevue Women’s Center

Experience with all age groups

NYS ultrasound technologist license at time of submission preferred

Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for outpatients, inpatients, and emergency room patients

Respond to STAT OB exams at Bellevue Women’s Center during designated hours

Operate and maintain Philips and GE ultrasound equipment

Utilize hospital documentation systems (Fuji, Cerner, Power Scribe) for accurate record-keeping

Maintain strict infection control and equipment sterilization standards

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care

Float to units within competency as required
