About The Position
We are seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team in Vernal, UT. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care in a rural setting with limited specialist support. The position features a flexible scheduling culture that accommodates personal and family emergencies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care, managing a broad spectrum of cases in a rural setting.
- Collaborate with specialists in pediatrics, obstetrics / gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurology, PM&R, ENT, and ophthalmology.
- Treat an average patient volume of 600 per month across five providers, averaging 140 hours per month.
- Work 10-hour day shifts (7 : 00 a.m. – 5 : 00 p.m.) and 14-hour night shifts (5 : 00 p.m. – 7 : 00 a.m.).
- Coordinate care and transfers to a Level 1 trauma center located an hour away when necessary.
- Ensure accurate patient documentation and adherence to best clinical practices.
Requirements :
Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.Confident practitioner comfortable managing a wide range of emergency cases with limited specialist support.Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively coordinate with specialists and staff.Willingness to embrace a rural healthcare setting and provide high-quality patient care.Benefits & Perks :
