Salary : $40,768 - $65,520
As a Driver (CDL Class A) , the candidate should have a background in fast-paced environments including experience with operating any combination of vehicles with a gross combination weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, provided the towed vehicle is heavier than 10,000 pounds. Individuals must be able to work in a self-motivated manner.
This is a key operational position, reporting to the Driver Manager with the opportunity to advance and grow with TDRL Logistics. The ideal candidate will be capable of both dry van and reefer trailer transport.
The focus is to prepare, execute, and follow up with all parties to ensure 24 / 7 service. The ideal candidate will meet all service requirements while adhering to the policies and procedures of TDRL Logistics. Training pay is offered and rate per mile is determined by experience. Monthly Safety Incentives and Quarterly On-Time bonuses awarded.
The candidate must possess strong relationship skills and always maintain a positive solution-based attitude. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, secure, legal environment with the proper tools and systems to maximize complete job satisfaction for employees and support company growth and profitability.
Responsibilities Driver :
Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readinessFollow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout tripsInspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessaryVisit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by lawContribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours workedAdhere to traffic safety regulations at all times, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authoritiesUse GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computerDrive long-haul runs between states 4060 hours a weekDocument hours accuratelyPerform regular safety inspections of equipment in keeping with company SOPs and OSHA standardsCommunicate professionally with warehouses, including notifying loaders by phone if you will be late for a scheduled drop-off or pickupFollow a schedule of weekly recurring local runs between customersConfirm and secure product after loadingClean / Sweep trailer after unloadingDriver Requirements & Skills 1

Most of the work week will be in the office. Duties include administrative functions using the phone, computer and communicating with people. This job will require occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds. Must be able to sit a minimum of 8 hours per day and must be able to stand and climb stairs as required.
