With offices across North Carolina, the Physical / Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients based on findings, completing documentation in a timely manner, communicating with physicians and other members of the medical team, and supervising therapist assistants and aides in direct patient care and related activities. Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited PT / OT School
- State of North Carolina Therapy License Required
- Current CPR Certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and demands
- Comfortable using email, internet applications, and practice management software
- Strong customer orientation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following
Patient Care
Conducts evaluations including reviewing patients' medical histories, testing and measuring strength, range of motion, balance and coordination, posture, muscle performance, respiration, and motor functionPrepares treatment plans describing a strategy, purpose, goals, and anticipated outcomeAdministers manual techniques and applies modalities / physical agentsEvaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit conferring with physician and other practitioners when appropriateTeaches patients to use assistive and adaptive devices. Instruct patients on at-home exercisesRecords evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress notes, discharge, summaries, and charges timely, legibly, and in compliance with applicable requirementsAssist with business and administrative facets of the practice as deemed necessary by the manager including marketing activitiesMaintains confidentiality of patient informationDischarges patients from therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained and provides or facilitates appropriate follow-up careSupervises Clinic Personnel
