Job descriptionSeeking a Controller to support the CFO and oversee day-to-day accounting operations. Hiring before the end of the year for a full-time position. Cumming, GA Why : Due to growth and increased project volume, additional financial leadership is needed to maintain accuracy and controls. Collaborative, fast-paced, and team-oriented atmosphere. $130k–$150k plus bonus, with excellent benefits. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Controller to manage daily accounting operations, support the CFO in financial strategy, and ensure strong internal controls across multiple construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role with room for growth. Oversee general accounting, job costing, and billing functions Lead month-end close and prepare financial statements Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Supervise AP, AR, and payroll operations Ensure compliance with GAAP, sales tax, and industry regulations Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking Optimize use of financial and construction management software Qualifications : 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry Experience in a senior accountant or assistant controller capacity Proficient in Foundation Software, Sage 300 / Timberline, or similar ERP Familiar with Procore or comparable project management tools Deep understanding of job costing and AIA billing Strong leadership and communication skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred) If you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity or would like to discuss your qualifications, please apply now.
