A Day in the Life : What You Will Do

As a DSP you are the heart of our mission : empowering people. Your core responsibilities will include :

Empowerment & Personal Care : Providing respectful hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene grooming and mealtime support.

Behavioral Support & Advocacy : Serving as a compassionate partner providing positive behavioral support following person-centered support plans and assisting with de-escalation.

Community & Integration : Being a bridge to the community. Youll support individuals with their goals from transportation to appointments and hobbies to helping them thrive in community-based jobs.

Health & Wellness : Supporting health and wellness by administering medications assisting with mobility and preparing nutritious meals.

What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications)

What We Require (The Must-Haves) :

A compassionate patient and encouraging attitude

18 years old or older

A valid drivers license reliable transportation and valid auto insurance

A High School Diploma or GED

Ability to pass a background check

• Have you been an unpaid family caregiver for a loved one We recognize that your skills in scheduling advocating and providing care are valuable and we will train you to become a Direct Support Professional.

Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) Personal Care Aide (PCA) Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a major plus.

Experience supporting individuals with IDD autism or behavioral support needs is highly valued.
