Events Lead

A company is looking for an Events Lead to manage and grow its flagship Africa Cup tournament and community events across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning and execution of the Africa Cup 2026, including managing qualifiers, operations, and sponsorships

Organise community and publisher events to enhance engagement, such as campus tournaments and game launches

Develop and manage sponsorships and partnerships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience managing large-scale events in gaming, esports, sports, or entertainment

Proven track record in securing and managing sponsorships from consumer brands or tech companies

Strong understanding of gaming culture in Africa and a passion for esports

Exceptional project and vendor management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is a plus
