Senior Systems Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior System Administrator with Bacula Systems administrator-level certification to manage enterprise backup and recovery operations in a high-performance, DOE-regulated environment. This role supports mission-critical systems for projects requiring strict adherence to NQA-1 QA standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Bacula Enterprise backup infrastructure (Director, Storage / File Daemons, Catalog DB).
• Ensure compliance with DOE / NQA-1 QA requirements for backup and recovery processes.
• Manage and troubleshoot complex computer networks and legacy systems in a high-security environment.
• Perform disaster recovery testing , capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Implement security controls , encryption, and role-based access for backup systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backup policies with business and regulatory requirements.
• Document procedures and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or related field + 8 years relevant experience

Current Bacula Systems Administrator Certification (required).

Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance .
