A surgical opportunity is available in an engaging outpatient clinic setting within a hospital in Maysville, KY. This locum tenens role focuses on general surgery, with an emphasis on laparoscopic procedures like appendectomy and cholecystectomy. The position offers the flexibility of weekday daytime shifts, and options for lodging and travel stipends are available for eligible candidates.

Job Responsibilities

Provide general surgical care with a focus on laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication

Manage an average of 15 patient encounters per shift

Ensure comprehensive care and adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

Board Certification in General Surgery

Active BLS and ACLS certification

Fellowship in relevant specialty

Ability to manage surgical care for adult patients

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Skills

Competency in laparoscopic techniques and procedures

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and bedside manner
