This is Seasonal, Part-time, Daily Work from September - December. Hours will vary 7 : 30-3 : 30 or 8 : 00-4 : 00 depending on district / program. Wage is $18.00-$25.00 / hour depending on relevant experience. Training will be provided as needed.

Role Relationships
The Vision - Hearing Screening Aide shall be directly responsible to the Supervisor for Special Education for supervision and evaluation.
Fundamental Duties / Essential Functions
Assist with the overall vision / hearing screening program as a member of the vision / hearing screening team.
Be knowledgeable of the operation of the vision screening equipment and the hearing screening equipment and all procedures for conducting both screenings.
Assist in maintaining the vision and hearing screening equipment by reporting any malfunctions to the Supervisor
Provide complete instructions to students regarding their role in the vision / hearing screening. 5. Prepare / compile accurate written data regarding student performance on the vision and hearing tests.
Contact and coordination with identified district / program lead on coordination of scheduling as well as any scheduling adjustments
Act as a liaison between district / program and IU for collection and reporting of results and maintenance of records.
Perform other duties as assigned by the designated Supervisor of Special Education.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force, occasionally, to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move equipment / supplies including students.
Ability to provide personal, reliable vehicle for own travel requirements.
Ability to orally communicate effectively in English with others in all levels or groups and individual contacts.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing, using the English language.
Ability to employ interpersonal skills so as to effectively collaborate with school staff.
Qualification Standards
Education : High School / GED diploma required.
Experience : Prior experience as a Vision Hearing Screening Aide in an educational setting preferred.
