Job description

A leading banking institution in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to spearhead infrastructure and digital transformation initiatives. This role will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, aligned with stakeholder expectations, and compliant with budget and technical standards critical to the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead IT infrastructure and transformation projects from initiation through successful completion
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact
  • Monitor project milestones, track KPIs, and communicate progress to stakeholders regularly
  • Maintain project documentation adhering to financial compliance and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with technical teams to validate project feasibility and execution plans

Project Areas :

  • Data center migrations and consolidations
  • Network infrastructure upgrades and refresh cycles
  • Cloud adoption and migration (Azure, AWS) tailored for banking security requirements
  • Security and regulatory compliance initiatives (e.g., PCI DSS, SOX)
  • Infrastructure automation and orchestration deployments
  • Microsoft 365 and enterprise collaboration tool rollouts

    • Requirements :

  • 5+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably within banking or financial services
  • Deep understanding of IT infrastructure including cloud, networks, and servers in regulated environments
  • Proven experience with hybrid cloud environments and cloud migration projects
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Smartsheet
  • PMP, Prince2, Agile, or equivalent certifications preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for managing diverse stakeholders
  • Experience managing vendors and third-party partners in financial IT projects
