Sr. Cost Accountant (Direct Hire)

JOB DESCRIPTION We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team! The Senior Cost Accountant will interpret and consistently apply cost accounting standards, practices and financial policies to ensure appropriate cost accounting management.

Responsibilities :

Analyze unique or complex financial issues and develop recommendations for solutions

Prepare comprehensive written analysis and interpretation of complex financial issues, including analysis of policy, guidelines, and regulations to support proposed cost accounting changes

Communicate complex financial issues and solutions with management and partners

Anticipate and prepare for the potential impact of recommendations and financial decisions

Identify areas for continuous improvement of processes and policies

Annual internal control testing

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA is a plus)

Fifteen years of relevant progressive experience or 10 years of relevant experience for applicants with a master's degree

Knowledge of and highly skilled in Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Experience delivering financial updates, reports and financial advice to senior management and external organizations

Salary range $125,000 ro $145,000
