Sr. Systems Administrator Port Washington, NY or Kansas City, Kansas (Onsite) Direct Hire Job ID 25-09857 We are looking for a Sr. Systems Administrator. This is a direct hire opportunity based out of Port Washington, NY or Kansas City, Kansas (Onsite). As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting Unified's business operations during a period of major re-automation and transformation. Leveraging your deep technical expertise, you will help evaluate, select, implement, and support both new and existing business-critical systems, processes, and procedures. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent work experience. Industry standard certifications (ITIL, MCSA, MCSE, Azure, O365, VMWare, AWS) are a plus. Minimum 5 years of experience working with Active Directory, Group Policy and other Microsoft domain technologies. Minimum 5 years of experience working with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Intune and other Office 365 technologies. Minimum 5 years of experience working with VMWare ESXi standalone hosts and vCenter host clusters. Minimum 5 years of experience working with automation and scripting. Demonstrate deep understanding of business needs and workflow; experienced in liaising with these functions to provide recommendations for automation and operational efficiency. Solid understanding of fundamental networking and security principles and best practices. Must be highly analytical, thorough, and maintain a high sense of urgency for the needs of our systems and the business. Responsibilities : Key administrator of day-to-day technical operations. Serves as the "Microsoft Domain, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 expert”, championing functionality to improve overall performance and drive process automation and efficiency. Collaborate with the rest of the IT team and other department managers to help streamline technology-related workflows. Documents requirements for system changes, system design specifications, functional specifications, implementation strategies and operational procedures based on business needs. Provide expertise and counsel to end users (internal customers) and act as top-tier help support for the IT help desk team. Ensure technical objectives, system stability, and user satisfaction targets are achieved. Ensure processes and technologies align across multiple business segments consistently. Anticipates and addresses implementation obstacles by devising approaches to assess the situation, developing and testing options, and introducing new procedures or tools. Ability to think through creative solutions in conjunction with the technical team to solve business problems. Develop a detailed business case to support new software implementations and enhancements. Contribute as part of the IT team to the success, direction and strategy of the department with a continuous improvement mindset. Perform system enhancements, including configuration changes, to ensure proper and correct system functionality, and troubleshoot system issues. Assist with application design, testing and issue remediation. Helps facilitate change requests, assignments, testing and communications to user groups and Quality Assurance team members. Collaborate with the IT team on project portfolio management & project delivery framework. Skills / Abilities : Intermediate to expert scripting; PowerShell strongly preferred. Expert Office365. Expert in Active Directory, Group Policy, MS Intune and other MS domain technologies. Expert troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Expert in PowerShell and other scripting languages. Intermediate to expert technical project management. Intermediate to expert system design. Intermediate to expert in VMware (ESXi and vCenter). Intermediate to expert in cloud services (Azure and AWS). Intermediate to expert in Google Drive and Dropbox. Intermediate to expert in Veeam / Rubrik. Intermediate in SAN and NAS management. Experience in system enhancement projects. Excellent critical thinking, process analysis and mapping skills (Visio). Strong collaboration, influencing, and listening skills. Excellent oral and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Strong understanding of and experience with ERP is a plus. Ability to lead strategic initiatives that meet business objectives with measurable results. Strong analytical thinker with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent time management skills. Successfully worked in a national organization. Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking. Positive and agile mindset with focus on solving complex challenges. Strong knowledge of LAN and WAN device administration. Able to obtain root-cause explanation for performance variances. Annual Base Salary Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC : $120,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and / or experience.
